Get To Know Our Nonprofit Organization

We are a group of friends who started Re-Source in 2017 in response to the fires in Santa Rosa. We assisted about 200 families and individuals in gathering items that helped them rebuild and recover, despite some of us also losing homes to fires and navigating the process.

Now, we focus on helping those impacted by the fires in Maui County obtain the things they need to return to normalcy over time.

Some of us have lost homes in fires, some of us have homes on Maui and live on island. We have access to a committed donor base that is committed to helping Maui residents recover items that make life easier, happier and more normal.

IMPLEMENTING OUR PROCESS

We first deliver items that people need right now – those that can make someone smile, take away a bit of stress or make transitions easier. We maintain relationships with our recipients throughout the recovery process and continue to identify and address ongoing needs. Different people and families need different things at different times. We are designed to respond to these protracted needs with a personal and individualized touch.

HOW WE CAN HELP

Our goal is to provide a prompt response to individual requests. We partner with individual and corporate donors to source both common and more unique items as they are requested.

These range from clothing, bedding and household items to sports gear, electronics, musical instruments and hobby equipment – if someone asks for it – we’ll try and source it!
